JUVEDERM HYDRATE
Allergan chose the aristocratic setting of Monaco to launch Hydrate, the latest addition to the Juvéderm family of fillers, which follows on closely from the introduction of Ultra Smile (see “Products”, BL 38, March-April 2010). Available now across the EU, Hydrate is a hydration product injected into the dermal/epidermal junction and in the superficial dermis.
RESTYLANE SKINCARE
Topical skin care products containing hyaluronic acid can provide hydration and promote collagen. As with its range of dermal fillers, Q-Med’s Restylane Skincare formulations contain stabilised hyaluronic acid to help fight the ageing process. The range comprises day and night creams, night serum, facial cleanser, recover cream and hand cream.
LYNTON LUMINETTE Q
When used for tattoo removal, Q-switched lasers emit short pulses of light which are absorbed by the tattoo ink particles, breaking them down and enabling immune defences to absorb and disperse the ink. Microphages are able to remove the broken down tattoo pigment with little damage to the surrounding skin.
DERMASTAMP
Skin needling can stimulate the skin to regenerate and repair itself, improving the appearance of scars and wrinkles. The manufacturer of Dermaroller, a medical needling device, has developed a smaller device for deeper scarring and smaller treatment areas.
