YOULASER CO2
Fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing combines the effectiveness of CO2 lasers with less downtime for patients and fewer complications. Fractional photothermolysis treats microscopic areas of the skin, keeping the surrounding area intact to facilitate the healing process. The treatment can be used for wrinkle reduction, scarring, pigmentation and dyschromia.
The YouLaser CO2 system, distributed by Lynton Lasers, is an ablative fractional laser for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation. The system delivers laser light which creates small holes in the skin surface, targeting a small area and leaving the surrounding tissue intact. The skin heals faster than if the whole area were treated at once, says Lynton.
YouLaser CO2 has a 200µm spot size on the skin, with spot densities of 100, 200 and 500 spot/cm2.
The system's 10.6µm wavelength is absorbed by skin tissue, removing all layers of the skin at the treatment site rather than coagulating epidermal and dermal tissue.
In ablative fractional mode, the YouLaser CO2 provides the potency of ablative treatments with the safety of non-ablative fractional lasers, says Lynton.
According to the distributor, the untreated, healthy skin surrounding the vaporised tissue stimulates accelerated collagen production and promotes skin healing.
The system functions in both fractional and fully ablative modes and can treat all types of scarring, including acne scarring, pigmentation, sun damage, line and wrinkle reduction. YouLaser CO2 can also provide facial skin tightening and skin lesion removal.
