 VICTORIA'S STORY

CHAPTER 7: One year later
To think about what I was doing on this day last year. I would wager to say it had to do with having a facelift in a week in Mexico. I was so full of every emotion from
excitement to fear, calm to meltdown.
As I look at pictures and in the mirror, I reflect on my outcome. Was  it what I hoped for?
I would have to say I am very happy taking a chance like this turned out to be worth the trip and the worries. My face is what I hoped it would be: a little fresher with better results than I had locally on my previous dip into the tuck and nip.
Do I look like a 30 year old? No.
Do I look better to myself. Yes.
Was it worth selling all I had to save my face? Yes.
Is it for everyone? No. Cosmetic surgery is only right if you want it for the right reasons, which all should have to do with well-being and not an impossible-to-create "young" conjured from science fiction.
I have one problem area, however. My eyes have healed with some redundant folds. You really have to be close to me to see them.
Will I do more as I get older. Absolutely!
Will I look to get the better price? Yes. This is why I did my research and trusted my doctor's credentials.
So, from one broad who went abroad, I say muchas gracias for the results I had and adios to all of you who followed my story. I hope you all got a good look into going to Mexico for cosmetic surgery.
In closing, it cannot be overstated that you should always check out your surgeon's qualifications and experience, whether he or she practises a block away or in another country. Second, do what you think is best and suits your special individual needs. Be realistic and give it time for the results to settle.
Thank you for reading my story. The saga continues, for we are all works in progress!
Be good to yourself and that great face of yours.
